In 2007, Malaysiagovernment put into action its plan for the establishment of the economic corridors in five designated regions in Malaysia. The rapid clustering of the industries through the ambitious ‘corridor’ projects leads to the reconfiguration of the production space and the integration of countries into global production activities.
It also discusses the manner in which Malaysiapursues its ambition to lead the region in electronics and electrical goods manufacturing. The establishment of the economic corridor and Science and TechnologyPark, which were preceded by guarantees of available land, has accelerated the realization of the ambition.
