The 'Working Women of Asia 2015 Photo Contest' aimed to raise awareness of the often harsh realities faced by marginalised women workers' in Asia, and to highlight the issues that we must all address together to improve their conditions and safeguard their rights so that they can work in dignity.
The beautiful entries submitted showcase the dizzying array of work that women do in Asia: from construction sites, factories, fields, seas, to street markets, classrooms, restaurants and brick kilns, and especially in their own households, women are contributing immeasurably through their work, but they are often invisible and their work is undervalued and unrecognised.
Thank you to all the photographers who participated.
The winners of the contest are:
First place: Quang Vu Bui
Second place: Muammar Ramadhan
Third place: Bijoy Chowdhury
